After getting it all set up, his license kept going to grace period The license was freely available showing up in the list on all our machines but his would not go get it.

My counterpart blew up his PC and had to migrate to a new 64bit box last week. I run versions 16 through 19 and the concurrent license is on a server PC on our local network. I am not sure if licensing is related to the sluggishness, I have not seen this issue except for perhaps five minutes or so after adding a licence or making changes to a client. We use a separate PC as a license server and still have a few node locked, so there are two paths on most of our machines. If you have trouble, you can make sure it is the only path listed. This might just be a graphical way of setting the checkdrives variable, but I think you want to do it within Factory Talk Activation Manager. Also, make liberal use of the refresh buttons and even the refresh server buttons after adding licenses. In most all cases, I think the local path should be first.you don't want to always look for a network resource, for example, that might only be present half of the time. If you are hosting your own license (node locked or concurrent but all on one machine), make sure the path to the local license is the first one in the list. In the client settings, you can specify the order in which license servers are searched. I recommend running the latest FTA manager. I have had no problems having a newer server with older clients during the process of updating multiple machines' FTA version. With version 3.4 I think, there are improvements to the user interface. I think I'm getting too old to learn new tricks.I don't know if the checkdrives system variable still applies with Factory Talk Activation Manager. Sometimes I can find options that don't seem to be there the next time I look for them.

I had a lot of adventures last night, I got it set so that it only rendered part of my image, I got a white box that appeared on the screen that I couldn't get rid of, I got in full screen mode and couldn't get out, etc. I did manage to get the program itself installed in my Programs folder on drive D:, but it's still saving everything in my Users folder. One other question, where do I change where Daz stores my renders, I don't want them in my C: drive. I'm assuming that If I create a texture and place it in the correct folder it will show up as an option someplace in the program. I've done my own textures for Poser for years, and I know where to find everything, but I can't seem to find the texture files for Daz. I'd also like to know if there are templates available some place? I'm actually looking for the physical image files for the textures. You shoot a mime, do you need a silencer? The few things that I've done look very nice, a quite different look then Poser.īut I can't imagine doing any animation (my main thing) at the speed that it runs, and I only have a figure in the scene, no set or props to render. It's hard going from a program that you know to one that you don't. Is there something that I need to configure to get it to run at a reasonable speed? When I work in Poser things are almost instantaneous, no lag, I can render 300 frames of animation at full HD in a matter of minutes. I have a very fast computer, i7 3.6 GHz, processor, Nvidia 680 video card, 32 Gigs of ram, Solid State Hard drive, liquid cooled processor etc. When I drag something there is a really big delay before it moves, everything feels really laggy. The thing is that Daz Studio really runs painfully slow?

Normally I use Poser Pro 2014, and I've used Poser since version 3. I'll work my way through the tutorials, when I get done just messing around with it. I'm finding that it runs really slow, now I admit I don't know what I'm doing, it's like I'm starting all over. I haven't used Daz Studio in a long time, but I thought that I'd give the new version a try.
